திதி- தெவசம்-சிரார்த்தம் இவைகள் ஒரே பொருளுடைய வார்த்தையாகும் சில சமூகத்தினர்கள் மட்டும் இதனை வழக்கமாக செய்து வருகிறார்கள். பித்துர்களை வேண்டி அந்தணர்களுக்கு  தக்ஷினையும், காய்கறிகளும் உணவுப்பொருள் தானம் அளிக்கப்படுகிறது.

Thithi, Divasam and Sirartham, all these words refer to the same ritual of remembering the departed. Hiranya Sirartham is observed by certain communities, praying for the departed souls and gifting the priests with food and fee.
