திருவாசகம், திருக்கோவையார் முதலிய பக்தி பனுவல்கள் இவரின் அருட்கொடையாகும். ஞான மார்கத்தையும், சன்மார்க நெறியையும், கடைபிடித்து அருளினார். இவருடைய திருவாசகத்தை ஸ்ரீ நடராஜப் பெருமானே எழுதியது வரலாறு ஆகும். வைணவத்தில் கோதையைப் போல சைவத்தில் மாணிக்கவாசக சுவாமிகள் சிறப்பு பெறுகிறார். இவர் சாயுச்சியம் அடைந்த திருநாள் குருபூஜை நாளாகும்.

The holy scriptures of Thiruvasagam and Thirukkovaiyaar are great contributions from Sri Manickavasagar. He practiced and preached the Gnana Margam and Shanmarga Neri. It is believed that his Thiruvasagam was written by Sri Natarajar himself. Manickavasagar occupies a special place in Shaivism, just like Andal does in Vaishnavism. The day he achieved Mukti (union with God) is observed as Sri Manickavasagar Gurupoojai. He is also extolled by the names of Manickavasagar, Vaadhavooradigal, Thiruvaadhavoorar. Vallalaar said “Those who are not moved by Thiruvasagam will not be moved by any other verse”. Let us worship Sri Manickavasagar on his Gurupoojai and gain spiritual wisdom.
